15 HP , Serial Z1000
The Z1000 variable speed drive is designed for building automation applications such as fans, pumps, and cooling towers through 500HP. The Z1000 features an easy-to-read LCD keypad that provides Hand-Off-Auto interface and a real time clock. These features make the Z1000 perfect for many building automation applications that require reliable motor control.
Error codes
CPF11 to CPF14 and CPF16 to CPF19
Fault name : Control Circuit Error.
Cause1 : There is a self-diagnostic error in the control circuit.
Possible solution : Cycle power to the drive
If the problem continues, replace the control board or the entire drive. Contact a DMEB Service technician for help.
Cause2 : Connector on the operator is damaged.
Possible solution : Sendyour drive to DMEB Service for repair.
FAn
Fault name : Internal Fan Fault
Fan or magnetic contactor failure (detected when L8-32=0 to 2)
Cause1 : Internal cooling fan has malfunctioned
Possible solution : Cycle power to the drive
Check for fan operation.
Verify the cumulative operation time of the fan with monitor U4-03, and verify the cumulative operation time of the fan maintenance timer with U4-04.
If the cooler fan has exceeded its performance life or is damaged in any other way, replace the fan.
Cause2: Fault detected in the internal cooling fan or magnetic contactor to the power supply.
Possible solution : Cycle power to the drive
If the fault continues to occur, Send your drive to DMEB Service for repair.
Please, contact a DMEB Service technician.
GF
Fault name : Ground Fault
-
A current short to ground exceeded 50% of rated current on the output side of the drive.
-
Setting L8-09 to 1 enabled ground fault detection.
Cause1 : Motor insulation is damaged.
Possible solution : Check the insulation resistance of the motor.
Replace the motor
Cause2 : A damaged motor cable is creating a short circuit.
Possible solution : Check the motor cable.
Remove the short citcuit and reapply power to the drive.
Check the resistance between the cable and the ground terminal.
Replace the cable.
Cause3 : Excessive leakage current at the drive output.
Possible solution : Reduce the carrier frequency.
Reduce the amount of stray capacitance.
Cause4 : The drive performed a current offset adjustment while the motor was rotating.
Possible solution : The set value exceeds the allowable setting range while the drive automatically adjusts the current offset. This generally only happens when attempting to restart a PM motor that is coasting to stop.
Set b3-01 to 1 to enable Speed Search at Start.
Perform Speed Search 1 or 2 (H1- =61 or 62) via one of the external terminals.
Note : Speed Searches 1 and 2 are the same when using OLV-PM.
Cause5 : Hardware problem
Possible solution : If the problem continues, replace the control board or the entire drive. Contact us for more informations.
LF
Fault name : Output Phase Loss
-
Phase loss on the output side of the drive.
-
Setting L8-07 to 1 or 2 enables Phase Loss Detection.
Cause1 : The output cable is dictonnected
Possible solution : Check for wiring errors and properly connect the output cable.
Connect the wiring.
Cause2 : The motor winding is damaged
Possible solution : Check the resistance between motor lines
Replace the motor if the winding is damaged.
Cause3 : The output terminal is loose
Possible solution : Apply the tightening torque specified in the manual to fasten the terminals. Refer to Main Circuit Wire Gauges and Tightening Torques on page 129 for details.
Cause4 : The rated current of the motor being use is less than 5% of the drive rated current.
Possible solution : Check the drive selection and motor capacities.
Cause5 : An output transistor is damaged.
Possible solution : If the problem continues, replace the control board or the entire drive. Contact DMEB Service for more informations.
Cause6 : A sigle-phase motor is being used.
Possible solution : the drive cannot operate a single phase motor
rr
Fault name : Dynamic Braking Transistor
The built-in dynamic braking transistor failed.
Cause1 : The braking transistor is damaged.
Possible solution : Cycle power to the drive and check for reoccurence of the fault.
Replace either the control board or the entire drive. For instructions on replacing the control board, contact us.
Cause 2 : The control circuit is damaged.
Possible solution : Cycle power to the drive and check for reoccurence of the fault.
Replace either the control board or the entire drive. For instructions on replacing the control board, contact us.
